In the midst of a global pandemic, the seasons changed and so did the shade of my skin. Each year presents a different challenge depending on how much time I spend outside, and this year, I’ve been outside a lot. I usually have help figuring this out, but since the stores are closed, I had to go at it alone.
When changing my foundation to a darker shade, I changed my highlight to a rich concealer that adds a little more warmth and blends a little more realistically. When seasons change, I also switch up my makeup routine to add matte finish, something the cool winter air takes care of on its own.
My makeup goals are far from perfection, but they give my natural beauty a chance to shine through. Regardless of the outcome, I’m sure we will figure it out by the end of summer and that’s all I could ever ask for.
