Part of the Process | July 2020

When completing my From Neutral to Warm summer makeup transition, I noticed that my face looked orange in certain areas, particularly where I highlighted around my eyes, nose, and chin. Before I completely discarded the deep cinnamon E.L.F. Concealer, I wanted to determine the root cause of the orange-like complexion and attempt to fix it.

To create this look, I used the process of elimination to give the concealer another chance before changing the foundation shade or altering other parts of my morning routine. Instead of applying the Black Radiance Loose Setting Powder,
I opted to set my moisturizer and primer with the Black Radiance Pressed Powder in the shade Golden Almond. This is an everyday powder for me that I use when I’m pressed for time or when I want a lighter look.

Everything else stayed the same.

Eyes
This is a classic look on the eyes for me and I love it. I do not like for my eye shadow to go too far, so I enjoy stopping it at the outer third of the lid and crease. The color shown here is Samoa Silk from the MAC Art Library Flame-Boyant Eye Shadow Palette and is for demonstration purposes only. I then placed the shade Amber Lights on top of it to give it a little sparkle.

Lips
Lately, I've been enjoying creating a darker line on the lip filled in by a lighter shade or sheer gloss of the same color. I think it adds depth, dimension, and it makes the sheer lip gloss stand out more. For more information on how to wear lip liner under your lip gloss, visit the website below.
